HENDERSON, KENTUCKY 

The Vietnam Traveling Wall.

The Vietnam Traveling Wall is a powerful and moving tribute to the men and women who served in the Vietnam War. As a smaller-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C., the traveling wall provides an opportunity for people across the United States to pay their respects and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service of their country. The wall is made up of individual panels, each one inscribed with the names of the more than 58,000 men and women who died during the conflict. It has traveled to communities throughout the country, giving people who may not be able to visit the memorial in D.C. the chance to reflect, remember, and pay their respects. The Vietnam Traveling Wall is a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by those who served in Vietnam, and serves as a testament to the enduring gratitude and respect of the American people. 

War Memorial, Downtown, Owensboro, Kentucky

The War Memorial in Owensboro, Kentucky is a beautiful and solemn tribute to the men and women who have served in the armed forces. Located in downtown Owensboro, the memorial features a large stone monument with the names of local veterans who have died in service to their country, as well as several smaller plaques that honor the sacrifices of those who served in various conflicts throughout history. The monument is surrounded by a well-manicured lawn and several benches, providing a peaceful and reflective space for visitors to pay their respects. The War Memorial is an important reminder of the bravery and selflessness of those who have served, and a symbol of the community's enduring gratitude and respect for their sacrifices.
